Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Washington has issued a media advisory for Thursday, March 26, 2009 in Olympia: Kilickitat County Sheriff Rick McComas and Burien Police Chief Scott Kimerer will meet in Olympia to discuss concerns regarding an alarming trend of child abuse and neglect cases stemming from the flagging economy. Representatives from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Washington State Legislature and area non-profits will be joining forces with local law enforcement officials to share emerging data and offer media remarks.
